# Yolky > Yolky is an app for iPhone and Android that turns a photograph of food into > a complete, cookable recipe — ingredients with quantities, numbered steps, cooking times, > ingredient swaps and per-serving nutrition. Yolky is made by Pypple Tech, a company registered in Wyoming, United States. Yolky runs on **iPhone** (iOS 17 and later) and on **Android** (8.0 and later). Both versions share the same features and the same account, so a recipe saved on one appears on the other. The home-screen name is **Yolky**; the App Store listing is titled *Recipe Keeper & Box: Yolky*. - iOS: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6803165468 - Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pyppletech.yolky ## What it does Yolky accepts four kinds of input and produces the same structured recipe from each: 1. **A photo you took** — a plate in front of you at a restaurant, a dish at a friend's place, a page of a cookbook. Yolky identifies the dish and works out how to make it. 2. **A screenshot** — food screenshots already sitting in the camera roll are read and converted into recipes. 3. **A link** — a food video or recipe page shared into the app. Yolky reads the thumbnail and caption and returns ingredients and steps instead of a video you have to keep rewinding. 4. **A photo of the inside of a fridge** — Yolky lists what it can see on the shelf and suggests dinners that can be cooked from those ingredients tonight, ranked by how much of each recipe you already have. Every recipe it returns includes ingredients with quantities, numbered steps, cooking times, suggested ingredient swaps, and per-serving calories, protein, carbohydrates and fat. ## Features - **Cook mode** — one step per screen, timers started by tapping the step, and a screen that stays awake while your hands are dirty. Timers keep running when you leave the app; on iPhone they also appear on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island. - **Fridge scan** — photograph an open fridge and get dinners you can make from what is on the shelf, with any missing items sent to the grocery list. - **Per-serving nutrition** — calories, protein, carbohydrates and fat for the portion actually being eaten. - **Grocery list by aisle** — ingredients from multiple recipes merge together and sort themselves into produce, dairy and dry goods. - **Weekly meal planning** — Yolky plans seven dinners around what you actually cook and turns the week into a single shop. - **Searchable cookbook** — every saved recipe, grouped into collections and searchable by name or ingredient. - **Serving scaler** — change the number of servings and every quantity and all nutrition figures rescale together. - **Editing and notes** — any recipe can be edited, any ingredient swapped, and personal notes stay attached to the recipe. ## Accuracy and limits A Yolky recipe is a **reconstruction, not a retrieved original**. It is the app's best account of how a dish like the one in the photo could be made. Ingredients, quantities, cooking times and nutrition figures are estimates, and Yolky can misidentify a dish or miss an ingredient it cannot see. Nutrition information is an approximation and is not medical, dietary or nutritional advice. Yolky should never be relied on to determine whether a food is safe for someone with an allergy. ## Privacy summary Photos sent to Yolky are used to produce the recipe and to show it back to the user in their cookbook. They are never sold and never used to target advertising. Users can delete their stored content from inside the app or via the account deletion page.
